YOUTH REVIVAL, THE FIRE IS OUT OF CONTROL

Last night things got so wild I forgot to get pictures. But a picture could never capture what the Spirit of God was doing in the house last night it was great. If you read this blog you need to come tonight we are expecting God to do something great in the lives of those that seek Him. Please come together with us tonight and seek the face of God. He is a rewarder to those that seek Him. With hope and love Pastor Butch Tanner, be blessed in Jesus name.

WHEN YOU'VE BEEN THROWED

It is well said: "Strength and courage aren't always measured inmedals and victories. They are measured in the struggles we overcome. The strongest people aren't always the people who win but the people who don't give up when they lose."It's been said that Andrew Jackson's boyhood friends just couldn't understand how he became a famous general and then the President of the United States. They knew of others who had greater talent but whonever succeeded. One of Jackson's friends commented, "Why, Jim Brown, who lived right down the pike from Jackson, was not only smarter, but he could throw Andy three times out of four in a wrestling match. But look where Andy is now."Another friend responded, "How did there happen to be a fourth time?Don't they usually say three times and out?""Sure, they were supposed to, but not Andy. He would never admit he was beat - he would never stay 'throwed.' Jim Brown would get tired, and on the fourth try Andy would throw him and be the winner."Andrew Jackson just wouldn't stay "throwed"! And that determination served him well for many years. Life will knock us off our feet again and again. You've been there and so have I. But some people just won't stay "throwed." They get upagain, dust themselves off and go for it one more time. These are people of courage. They are also people of faith and hope. Maybe you have been knocked off your feet. Will you stay "throwed,"or will you rise and give it your best one more time?

Cell Phone vs. Bible

I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phones....
What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
What if we used it as we traveled?
What if we used it in case of an emergency?
What if we upgraded it to get the latest version?
It's just something to think about.
Something to make you say hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, and where is my Bible?

Laughing, It's Just Plain Fun

My friend Jack was in the hospital when the new pastor from his church arrived. He sent a message that he would like the pastor to call on him. Before the pastor came to the hospital, Jack ordered an extra catheter bag from the hospital pharmacy. Since he was a pharmacist in the hospital, he knew the staff well enough to make such a request. Then he filled the bag with his favorite pale soft drink --Mountain Dew.The new pastor soon arrived and they visited for a while. At onepoint, Jack reached down and picked up the bag from the side of the bed. He studied it for a moment and then said, "It looks a little thin. Maybe I'll run it through again." And he drank from it. After the new pastor recovered from shock, he laughed with his new friend. And he discovered through the years that Jack brought avaluable gift to life -- laughter."The most thoroughly wasted of all days is that on which one has not laughed," said Nicholas de Chamfort. And another merry soul made this wise observation: "Ever notice how everyone who gets a flat tire can laugh about it a week or a month later? The shorter the distance between the flat and the laugh, the healthier the body, the keener the mind, the stronger the spirit.
"Laugh quickly. Laugh heartily. Laugh often. Sure, it's good for yourbody, mind and spirit ... but mostly, it's just plain fun.

Prayer of the Week

This week ask the Lord to help you prepare for that special marriage supper of the Lamb, and to put away everything that displeases Him, but put on all the spiritual clothing He provides - the garment of praise - the robe of righteousness - compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Continue to pray that the Lord would pour out His Spirit and bring repentance and revival to every nation. Pray for mercy for those who are being afflicted by famine, pestilence, war and natural disasters. Ask the Lord to give our governmental leaders wisdom and courage to continue to stand against tyranny. Remember Israel and the persecuted church. Eph. 6:11-17
